English Premier League club Newcastle United have parted company with manager Sam Allardyce, 53, with immediate effect and by mutual agreement, the English Premier League side announced.
English Premier League club Newcastle have announced that Kevin Keegan, 56, has made a return to Tyneside and has signed a three-and-half year contract to manage the club. Keegan, managed Newcastle from 1992 to 1997 and returns to St James' Park as Sam Allardyce's successor.
Branko Ivankovic, 40, has resigned as coach of Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb after criticism from the club's executive vice-president Zdravko Mamic. Ivankovic and his assistant, Rajko Magic, decided to quit arfter Mamic's reaction following Dinamo's defeat by Hajduk Split in the Croatian indoor championship semi-final. Former Croatia defender Zvonimir Soldo has been appointed as the new coach.
Republic of Ireland club Cork City have named former Longford Town boss Alan Mathews, 42, as their new manager. He has signed a three-year contract with the club. He replaces Damien Richardson.
Spanish club Real Zaragoza's coach Ander Garitano, 38, has announced that he is quitting his job after just one week, citing "personal reasons".He gave no further details in a press statement, but Spanish radio reported he was leaving due to problems with Argentinian playmaker Andres d'Alessandro.
Northern Ireland have appointed Nigel Worthington as team manager with a two-year contract. The Irish Football Association (IFA) had made Worthington caretaker from Lawrie Sanchez midway through the qualifying campaign for UEFA EURO 2008.
George Burley, 51, has been appointed as the new Scotland manager. The former Southampton manager has signed a contract until 2012 .
Romanian First Division club Pandurii have made former Porto coach Joaquim Teixeira their new manager.
Finland has appointed Briton Stuart Baxter, 54, as head coach on a two-year contract.
England manager Fabio Capello has named Stuart Pearce, 45, as part of his coaching set-up for the senior team. Pearce will also remain coach of the England Under-21 side.
Spanish club Zaragoza have presented Javier Irureta, 59, as their new coach following Ander Garitano's departure. Irureta, who has been out of a job since stepping down at Betis in December 2006, signed a contract until the end of the season.
Belgian club Molenbeek Brussels Strombeek have appointed Franky Van Der Elst as their new coach. He replaces Albert Cartier, who was dismissed after a series of disappointing results. Van Der Elstwill take charge of the club.
Dennis Wise has joined English Premier League club Newcastle United in an executive position as director of football.
English Blue Square Premier club Weymouth's manager Jason Tindall has been dismissed after just one year in the job. The club then appointed John Hollins, 61, as their new manager.
John Brown, 46, has been appointed manager of Scottish Football League Division One club Clyde. He replaces Colin Hendry.
English League One club Leeds United have appointed former player Gary McAllister, 43, as their new manager after Dennis Wise's move to Newcastle United. McAlliste has joined initially until the summer. Wise's assistant Dave Bassett also left the club.
English League One club Doncaster Rovers have recruited Lee Butler , 41,from Halifax Town as their new goalkeeping coach. Butler, who had a short spell as a player at Doncaster in 2002, replaces Barry Richardson following his recent move to Nottingham Forest.
Former Singapore coach Jan Poulsen has been appointed as coach of Armenia in the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. He replaces Briton Tom Jones, who was sacked following Armenia's poor UEFA EURO 2008 qualifying campaign.
Ander Garitano has replaced Victor Fernandez as coach of Spanish Primera Division side Real Zaragoza. Fernandez was sacked following a draw against Real Mallorca.
Kevin Blackwell stated he would leave English League One club Luton Town, who are in administration, 9 February, but he was sacked after Luton's FA Cup third-round replay against Liverpool and the day after a consortium secured a deal to buy the club. Mick Harford was named manager for the rest of the season.
Chris Coleman, 37, has resigned as coach of Spanish Second Division club Real Sociedad. He said he and assistant Steve Keane were unable to work alongside newly elected president Inaki Badiola.
League One club Hartlepool United's club captain Micky Barron,33, has been appointed as the club's full-time youth team coach. The defender had recently been helping out with coaching the club's youngsters.
Juergen Klinsmann has agreed to take over as coach of German Club Bayern Munich on 1 July . Klinsmann has signed for two years until 30 June 2010. Hitzfeld revealed at the start of the year he would be leaving Bayern once his contract expired at the end of the season.
Plamen Markov, 50, has been re-appointed as Bulgaria coach. He guided Bulgaria to the UEFA EURO 2004 finals but turned down an offer to extend his contract after the tournament.
Alpar Meszaros has been appointed the new head coach of Romanian club Universitatea Cluj. The Bosnian FA named the country's former football star Meho Kodro, 40, the new national coach. He replaces Fuad Muzurovic who lost the job in December after his team failed to qualify for UEFA EURO 2008.
Ottmar Hitzfeld the coach of German club Bayern Munich has confirmed he will leave the club in June at the end of his current contract.
Francis Gillot, 47, has been appointed coach of French Ligue 1 club Sochaux. He replaces Frederic Hantz who was sacked.

Arie Haan, 59, will take over as Albania head coach, Albanian Football Federation president Armando Duka announced. Haan, replaces Croatia's Otto Baric, and is expected to sign a contract that will last until 2010.
Yvon Pouliquen, 45, has been appointed coach of French Ligue 1 club Metz. Pouliquen replaces Francis De Taddeo, who was dismissed.
Damien Richardson has ended his three-year stay as manager of Republic of Ireland eircom League club Cork City, just two weeks after winning the FAI Cup which gave the club entry to the 2008/09 UEFA Cup.
Ivan Jovanovic , 45, has made a return to coach Cypriot side APOEL FC following the departure of Marinos Ouzounides. He previously guided APOEL to the 2003/04 title and has now signed a contract with the Nicosia club until May 2009.
Norwegian club Rosenborg have appointed Erik Hamren, 50, currently in charge of Danish league leaders Aalborg, as their new coach. The Swede will remain with AaB for the remainder of the season before taking control at Rosenborg on 1 June 2008.
Enzo Scifo, 41, has been appointed the new coach of Belgian club Excelsior Mouscron. Scifo who briefly coached Charleroi, had been out of football for two years.
Dutch club Heracles have sacked coach Ruud Brood following a series of disappointing results. Brood joined the Dutch club in July 2006 and kept them in the top flight in his first season in charge,. Heracles said that assistant Hendrie Kruzen would take over temporarily.
Italian Serie A club Cagliari have appointed Davide Ballardini, 43, as their new coach. After a humiliating 5-1 defeat at Fiorentina, club president Massimo Cellino decided to end Nedo Sonetti's short spell, handing the reins to former coach Ballardini.
Finn Mixu Paatelainen, 40, is the new manager of Scottish Premier League club Hibernian after the Edinburgh club agreed compensation with TPS Turku.
Former Yugoslavia defender Miroslav Djukic, 41, has been hired as the national coach of Serbia, which failed to reach the 2008 European Championship.
Serbian club Partizan Belgrade hired former Chelsea midfielder Slavisa Jokanovic, 39, as coach. He replaces Miroslav Djukic.
Graham Barrow, 53, has been appointed as English Blue Square Premier club Altrincham's new assistant manager. He replaces Dalton Steele, who resigned at the end of December, as Graham Heathcote's number two.
Graham McConnell has been appointed manager of Northern Ireland Carnegie Premier League club Larne. He succeeds Tommy Leeman.
Stephen Kenny has returned as manager for a second spell with Eircom League club Derry City. Kenny, who left Derry in November 2006, has signed a three-year contract, and he succeeds John Robertson who was dismissed after just six months. He has named former Waterford player-manager Alan Reynolds as his assistant.
Metz coach Francis De Taddeo has been sacked following a string of poor results, including a 2-0 loss at Lorient. De Taddeo became first team coach last season, when he guided the club to the second division title and promotion to the top flight. It was not immediately known who would be named as his successor.
Scottish Football League Division Two club Peterhead's manager Steve Paterson has left the club, having been with the Blue Toon since October 2006. A statement said: "Peterhead have cancelled the contract of manager Steve Paterson with immediate effect.

Campeonato Brasileiro club Coritiba have appointed Edison Borges as their new coach on a temporary basis.
Campeonato Brasileiro Serie B club Coritiba have appointed Dorival Junior as their new coach, replacing René Simões.
Coach Miguel Angel Russo has left Argentine club South American champions Boca Juniors. Club president Pedro Pompilio said: "We came to an agreement not to renew the contract which finishes on December 31," Pompilio told the Buenos Aires radio station La Red.
Argentine First Division club Boca Juniors have named Carlos Ischia as their new coach.
Claudio Ubeda has replaced Ossie Ardiles as coach of Argentine First Division club Huracan.
Argentine top-flight side Estudiantes La Plata have appointed Roberto Sensini as their new coach. Guillermo Sanguinetti has replaced Julio Falconi as the manager of Argentine side Gimnasia La Plata.

Seattle's Major League Soccer expansion franchise have hired Chris Henderson as technical director and assistant to general manager Adrian Hanauer.
Argentine coach Cesar Luis Menotti has resigned as manager of Mexican First Division side Tecos.

Bahrain club Al Najma have appointed Senad Creso,52, as their new head coach following the resignation of Khalid Al Harban.
Oman have sacked Argentine coach Gabriel Calderon,47, and replaced him with Uruguayan Julio Cesar Ribas, 50, before the third round of FIFA World Cup qualifiers begin. The newly-elected board of Oman's soccer federation opted to ditch Calderon after 21 months in charge.
Qatar club Al Sadd have terminated the contract with head coach Co Adriaanse, 60. A statement on the club's website said that decision to dispense with the services of the Dutchman was due to "recent problems between the coach and the players."
Cambodia has hired former South Korean international Yoo Kee-Heung, 60, to coach the national team. Yoo, whose salary will be paid for by a South Korean company, takes charge of a near-penniless team. The Korean Technology Company has agreed a sponsorship deal with the team worth $205,000 a year, half of which will be Yoo's salary. "Our new coach has already arrived," Sao Sokha, Cambodia's soccer federation president, told Reuters. "He will be with us for three years."
Iran have named Spaniard Javier Clemente as their new national football coach. Clemente, who was sacked as Serbia coach last month after failing to lead the team to the UEFA EURO 2008 finals, was awarded a three-year contract through to 2011.

Benny Dollo, 58, has been officially appointed head coach of Indonesia after the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) decided against renewing the contract of Ivan Kolev. The former Persita Tangerang coach has signed a two-year deal and will begin work on February 1.
Antonio Cabrini has had to step down from his role as head coach of Syria after the General Sports Federation of Syria refused to sanction a sponsorship deal that covered the ex-Juventus left-back's salary. Former coach Fajr Ibrahim will take temporary charge.
Luka Bonacic, 52, has left Iranian club Sepahan to the final of the 2007 AFC Champions League and two Hazfi Cup titles, has left the Isfahan-based club to take over as head coach of UAE club Al Nasr. Bonacic has signed an 18-month contract with Al Nasr.
Manoranjan Bhattacharya has replaced Subroto Bhattacharya as coach of Indian League side East Bengal. This will be Manoranjan's third stint as coach of East Bengal. The former India and East Bengal defender was at the helm from 1996-98 and 2000-01.

Senegal coach Henri Kasperczak has resigned after his side's 3-1 loss to Angola at the CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana. Assistant coach Lamine Ndiaye will step in for the Pole as caretaker manager.
Croatian coach Josip Kuze, 54, has quit the Rwanda national football team to take over the Japanese J-League side JEF United Chiba. Kuze signed a three-year contract with the Japanese side reportedly worth around US$400,000 dollars per season.
Brazilian coach Jose Claudinei, 60, has taken over at Zimbabwe with the task of taking the country to the finals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
Former Bordeaux and Marseille boss Gerard Gili is to replace Ulrich Stielike as head coach of Côte d'Ivoire for this year's CAF Africa Cup of Nations, the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) announced. The eleventh hour decision came after Stielike suffered a family crisis when his son lapsed into a coma. Gili, who has been with Cote d'Ivoire since 2004 and will oversee their Olympic campaign at the Beijing Olympics.
Raoul Shungu has been dismissed as coach of the Seychelles, the country's sports commission announced. The Rwandan coach had been in charge of the small island nation's national team since mid-2006. The Seychelles, which is Africa's smallest country, failed to win any of their seven internationals in 2007.
